Hello, my name is Kristin Kershaw and I am excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year!  My goal this year is to make learning fun and exciting and to help your child develop into a life-long learner through interactive, fun activities.  
     Kindergarten is a year filled with wonder, new beginnings, independence, and exploration.  I strive to keep a class environment that is nurturing and safe.  An environment where students laugh, have fun, make friends, question, learn, and grow in academic and social skills.
     My mission for the class is to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all students.  I want them to feel confident in themselves and their abilities.  Students will be challenged academically, encouraged to grow socially, and to broaden their creativity.  Together we will face each day with great expectations and achieve many goals throughout the year.
     I look forward to partnering with you, as parents, to encourage, guide, and to be role models.  Learning is FUN and there is always something new to discover!  I look forward to a year of successes, exploration, and discovery.
