    1st Grade Homework Trimester 2

    Directions: Keep this homework assignment sheet for the entire Trimester (12 weeks). Complete the activities on this homework page each week. You must complete each task to receive full homework credit. Turn in the writing and comprehension assignments each Friday.

     

    Reading

    Read 20 minutes or more daily. Focus on decoding, fluency, accuracy and comprehension.

     

    Math Facts

    Practice your addition and subtraction facts using flashcards, a website, or verbal quizzing.

    Comprehension

    On a separate piece of paper write a retell of a story you read this week. Remember to:

    Write a topic sentence

    Tell what happens at the beginning

    Tell what happens in the middle

    Tell what happens at the end

    Write a closing sentence

     

    Writing

    On the back of your comprehension homework paper, write a narrative, opinion or informative piece.    You may choose your own topic. Write a minimum of 5 sentences.

     

    Sight Words
