I am excited to serve as Montgomery Middle School’s Assistant Principal.  I was both honored and humbled when Mr. Hurlbert asked me to join him as one of his administrative partners here at Montgomery Middle School.  Together, our goal is to create a safe, exciting and fun learning environment for our Roadrunners.  I am thrilled to work alongside the wonderful MMS staff as we continuously strive to support our individual students and ensure that they maximize their learning potential.

I have been an educator and a member of the 麻豆社区 family for over 27 years.  I started at Jamacha Elementary School as a student teacher and taught for eight years at Fuerte Elementary School (Kindergarten, Grade 2 and Grade 5).  I was then selected to serve as the Coordinator of both Data and Assessment and Learning Support Services.  Following my time at the district level, I had the privilege to serve as the Assistant Principal at Hillsdale Middle School (2 years), the Principal at Blossom Valley Elementary School (5 years) and the Principal at Avocado Elementary School (6 years).  The needs of my elderly parents prompted me to change course in my professional career, and join Los Coches Creek Middle School as their Assistant Principal.  These experiences led me to request this opportunity at Montgomery

My wife and I enjoy our lives here in San Diego with our two boys, where our days are spent supporting 麻豆社区 students and taking our sons to water polo and baseball events.  We also care for and support our wonderful parents who also live in the area.  After a lifetime of caring for us into adulthood, it is our turn to take care of them.  

I am very excited to work with the Montgomery Middle school students and team.  We appreciate the trust and support that our parents and families will give us and we take our responsibilities seriously.  Mr. Hurlbert, our staff and I will continue our work to create a safe, exciting and fun learning environment for our Roadrunners.  Together, with our community, we will ensure that our students move confidently into the future.
